How to use the NOT Function in Excel
Description
The NOT Function is categorized as Logical Function in Excel. This function returns FALSE if the condition or expression within NOT evaluates TRUE and vice versa.
The NOT function takes only one arguments which can be a number, condition or expression. It can also be used as a part of a formula.
Syntax
The syntax of NOT function is =NOT(Logical)
Argument or Parameter
Logical (Required)- a number, expression or condition that evaluates TRUE or FALSE.
Returns
The NOT function returns FALSE if the condition or expression within NOT evaluates TRUE and returns TRUE if the condition or expression evaluates FALSE.
